Don Rice Bar is a traditional Japanese donburi concept with a modern twist. “Don” is short for donburI, the Japanese word for a rice bowl.

For founder Chef Nathan Asamoto, the idea began at home. Growing up in a Japanese American family, he was surrounded by the aromas and flavors of Japanese comfort food. Rice bowls were a staple at the family table and remain one of his favorite things to eat.

Don Rice Bar was created to share that experience with Las Vegas. Inspired by Nathan’s family kitchen, it is a place where the aroma of freshly prepared Japanese food welcomes you as soon as you walk through the door, and every bowl offers a taste of the warmth, flavor, and connection he experienced.

Don Rice Bar serves traditional Japanese rice bowls with a contemporary point of view, prepared in a chef-driven scratch kitchen. Every dish is made fresh to order using quality ingredients and the bold, comforting flavors that inspired the concept.
